VFW Post 2485 Children's Operation Program

If a picture speaks a thousand words take a look at these smiles The final results for the 2007-2008 year ending on 30 June 2008 included a total of 20 cleft lip/palate operations provided to Filipino children from indigent families. Expenditures for this program totaled $6,750. All funds were generated through donations. Over the past year, substantial donations were received from the Klunk Foundation, Lee Cobb and his shipmates from the Honolulu chapter of the Fleet Reserve Association, Bill Feldt, Dennis Carlton, Walt Howard, Bud Luker, Dave Daugherty, Pat Hruzek, Mr. & Mrs. Steven Kinsbursky, Dave Rowe and his band of angels, J.J Johnson, and VFW Post 9612 in Camp Zama, Japan. Special thanks to Mike Sculley who has taken over administrative duties for the program and for all the other members and friends who have supported this program. You have made a difference in the lives of over 1250 children who have benefited from this program since its inception in 1988. A big Salamat to all of you. Individuals or organizations that wish to sponsor an operation can make their check payable to VFW Post 2485 and send to: Clifton W. Wilsey Operations cost from $350.00 to $400.00. A financial report with before and after pictures where practical is provided to each benefactor. This program has zero overhead costs.
