VFW Post 2485
Membership
|
Welcome to the 13th largest VFW post in our great organization. The
2010-2011 recruiting year ended on 30 June 2011 with 1576 members. This was
the 24th consecutive year of membership growth, dating from the
formation of the post in April 1987. The 2011-2012 year began on 1 July 2011
with a year end objective of 1600 members. If each of our post members
will recruit one member this year, we will become the largest post in the
VFW.
Think Membership.
Special kudos to Bob Chesko, Ed Jernigan, Bob Zaher,
Tom Aldrich,
Bill Grubbs, Tom Elliott, Dennis Carlton, Paul Gasperson and
the numerous members who continue to make the program successful.
Annual dues remain at
$30 when paid directly to the Post.

By popular demand, the Post will continue paying a $50.00 subsidy toward
life membership dues through 30 June 2012.
The Post established a special Life Membership incentive program for
members’ sons and daughters who are serving or have served in harms way and
are otherwise eligible to join the VFW. For those sons and daughters
the cost of a Life Membership will be only $100! The remaining costs
will be paid from donations and Post funds. This program will be in
effect until 30 June 2012.
The Post "Early Bird" program for annual members ended on 30
September 2011. Early payment of dues for 2011-2012
resulted in the Post selecting Darin Opalenik and Wayne Evans for free life
memberships. Congratulations guys.
